Fernando Alonso won the 2005 edition of the Formula-One World Championship. He is also the youngest driver ever to win this title. Combining his talents with the outstanding performance of his Renault, Alonso succeeded in interrupting Michael Schumacher and his Ferrari monopoly who won the title for five consecutive years.
The Italian painter Andrea Del Pesco decided to dedicate a painting to this victory of Alonso and Renault. The painting is meant to symbolize the man-machine combination who together seek overall victory. The painted image is very vivid and characterized by energetic brushing techniques.
